Electrostatic Powder coating

Electrostatic Powder coating

Electrostatic Powder Coating is a coating method that has been used in Europe and America since the 1960s and came to Turkey in the late 1980s.

Although it is very young compared to wet paint applications, it has found wide use in a short time and has reached remarkable figures in terms of produced quantities. This coating method is especially used to protect metal surfaces and give them a decorative appearance. In addition, as a result of the developments made in recent years, Powder Coating technology is being used to coat glass, ceramic, wooden and even plastic surfaces.

The environmental and application advantages it provides have made Powder Coating a favorite in the coating industry. Powder Coating is applied using electrostatically powered guns and baked under relevant baking conditions. The use of Powder Coating has increased rapidly since the 1960s, and approximately 2000 kilotons of powder coating were produced worldwide in 2019.
